Matchmaking activities at the Sourcing Day Poland.
At the Sourcing Day Warsaw, German buyers had the opportunity to meet Polish suppliers. The match-making on the 22 of June provided buyers with insight and perspective in the Polish market. “Looking at a worldwide background of dynamic, complex and high risk supply chain, the east European procurement market offers among others and especially SME an attractive alternative to sourcing in Asian markets, “says Olaf Holzgrefe, Head of International Business and Affairs from the BME e.V.
The attending German buyers came from the plastic, metal processing and automotive branches. The buyers had the opportunity hold up to 15 supplier meetings. The search for potential suppliers was undertaken by the Polish sister association PSML together with the BME. On site there were suppliers present from the electronic entertainment, automotive, plastic and engineering sector.
Due to the satisfaction of buyers as well as suppliers of this year’s sourcing day in Warsaw the BME together with PSML have already announced that a Sourcing Day 2018 will take place. Further activities in cooperation with PSML have been planned.
Next to various BME-expert council activities with focus on the eastern European market, the BME was able to successfully execute several trips for buyers this year. The 4th CEE Procurement and Supply Forum in Prague will take place on the 25 until the 26 of October.
