Katarzyna Kowalska, Supply Chain Director at OBI Poland
In the retail DIY (Do It Yourself) industry for 18 years. She has gone through all levels of the logistics organisation, creating it from scratch in Leroy Merlin. Currently, she manages the supply chain in the OBI network in Poland. In her career, she was responsible for logistics of deliveries to over 40 construction markets, import supply, one of the largest warehouses in Poland and the development and service of the E-commerce project. She has supervised the implementation of the innovative tool to replace the electronic shipping notification, related to the logistic label. She took part in the Council of Providers at GS1 Poland.
She has a degree in business management supported by the MBA diploma from the Oxford Brooks University, and her passion involves the modern supply chain ensuring the contemporary client with the omni-channel procurement experience.
Prof. Aleksandra Laskowska – Rutkowska
A longtime SGH employee, currently the Lazarski University, lecturer at the Canadian MBA studies (the program of SGH and University of Quebec) and WEMBA (the program of SGH and University of Minnesota) and post-graduate studies of SGH, SGGW and the Lazarski University.
An expert in the area of logistics and innovation. The author of several publications in the field of logistics, including books, as well as studies and expertise in the area of innovations for: the Ministry of Economy, OPI (Information Processing Centre) , PARP (Polish Agency for Enterprise Development). Director of the Centre for Logistics and Innovation of the Lazarski University. Member of the Chapter of the annual nationwide publishing competition Eurologistics “Innovative product for Logistics”.
Katarzyna Piątkowska, Director of Logistics COCA-COLA HBC POLAND (Supply Chain Services Manager)
Director of one of the largest supply chains in Poland, a member of the Management Team Coca-Cola Hellenic Poland from 2014. She has gained experience in several international organisations, both in the area of sales and Supply chain, which is a guarantee of understanding a wide range of business.
The leadership qualities also allow her to perform the function of the co-chairman of the Supply Forum in the ECR Poland organisation, bringing together both the producers and retailers, and the logistics operators in order to optimise the supply chain processes. From 2012 she has been the Director of Logistics CCHBC Poland, in this period the Logistic of the Coca-Cola HBC Poland company (in 2014 and 2015) she has obtained the first prize twice in the market survey of the Supply Chain Designer. This award aims to promote the best organisations of the supply chain, which are distinguished by efficiency of strategies and the best management methods on the Polish market. She always bases the success in business on the positive leadership, and on teams of fantastic people, who thanks to their knowledge, positive attitude and huge commitment build professionalism guaranteeing very good business and financial results. In recent years, Katarzyna Piątkowska with her team has significantly reduced the logistics costs, increasing the quality of the logistic service and the parallel involvement of employees.

Krzysztof Maśny, Director for Supply Chain Management Castorama Poland
A graduate of the Warsaw University of Technology and Executive MBA at the Main School of Economics/University of Minnesota. With over 25 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management at different positions and in various companies (IBM, METRO Group, Castorama) and over 10 years of experience in managing the company as the Managing Director, also including the regional positions in Europe. Many years of experience in the implementation of various projects optimising the costs and effectiveness of supply chains and logistics. The in-depth knowledge of logistics and supply chain of retailers in diverse range, from industrial products, food at controlled temperatures, frozen foods, fish, fruit and vegetables, both in the area of domestic logistics and import. Practical knowledge in implementing various storage, transport and cross-docking solutions. Numerous implementations of information systems supporting the processes in the supply chain, including SAP systems. The laureate of the Logistics Manager Award of 2009 awarded by the logistics environment PSML in recognition of achievements in his professional career. In 2012 Castorama Polska received a special award in the market survey Supply Chain Designer.

PhD Assoc. Maciej Szymczak
PhD Assoc. Maciej Szymczak is an associate professor at the Department of International Logistics at the Faculty of International Economics of the University of Economics in Poznan (UEP).
He is a graduate of the Poznan University of Technology, master’s thesis in the field of computer science. Degrees of the doctor and habilitated doctor of economic sciences in the field of management science, specialising in logistics, were obtained in the then University of Economics in Poznan. Currently he is the dean of the Faculty of International Economics at UEP.
His scientific interests include logistics and management of international supply chains, information technologies in logistics, and recently also the urban logistics. He has published over 100 scientific papers. He is the author, co-author and editor of several monographs and textbooks. The result of the recent research is the author’s monograph, “Evolution of supply chains” [UEP, 2015] and two monographs developed under his editorship: “Managing Towards Supply Chain Maturity. Business Process Outsourcing and Offshoring” [Palgrave Macmillan, 2013] published in Great Britain and “ Offshoring and the development of supply chains” [UEP, 2014] published in Poland. Among the previously published papers worth mentioning are: “Logistics in the internationalization of enterprises” [AEP 2004], “Urban logistics” [AEP, 2008], “Logistic decisions with Excel” [Difin 2011] or the “English-Polish, Polish-English dictionary of the logistics glossary” [MJ Media, 2008].
He has lectured logistics in many universities of the first and second degree, doctoral, post-graduate and MBA studies. He has also lectured at Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg, Germany. He is a member of the editorial committee of the business bimonthly “Eurologistics” and the jury of the competition “The innovative product for logistics, transport, production”. He participates in many research projects, as well as in a number of projects and expertises in the field of logistics and transport carried out for the industry and public administration. He has received sixteen awards of the Rector of the University of Economics in Poznan for his scientific and organisational work.
. Privately, he works with photography, mainly of the architecture, landscape and urban photography, he is interested in the digital image processing, automotive technology and contemporary pop-rock music. In his free time he practices cross-country biking with his son.
Interim Manager, an expert in logistics projects. He has 16 years of experience in logistics and supply chain. As the Interim Director for Logistics he has manage the process of changes in the supply chain of Baltona S.A. (Flemingo International Group Dubai). Currently, he is involved in the projects related to the operational logistics. He cooperates with consulting companies in Poland and abroad as the expert in practices. Previously, he managed logistics operations in the supply chain of Carrefour Poland. An experienced manager, successfully managing the supply chains also in the household appliances industry (ARDO, Delonghi, BEKO, Gorenje). He specialises in reducing the costs of supply chains, re-defining logistic strategies and reconstruction of processes. He has an excellent knowledge of the logistics industry. The member of the Polish and foreign logistic organisations, consultant for the Supply Chain & Logistics Group in Dubai, certified Business Trainer at the House of Skills, lecturer at the Leon Koźmiński Academy and the Main School of Economics in Warsaw. A regular speaker at conferences in the country and abroad.
